Through a couple of fun colour mixing exercises, you will learn how to create a wide variety of grey tints and tones through not only black and white but also vibrant colour. This workshop is ideal for those who struggle with colour mixing and allows you to embrace grey tones that are often associated with muddy colours. You will learn how to take control over your muddy mixes and make them work within your painting. The first 2 short exercises are to get you warmed up and lead you onto the third exercise which focuses on incorporating your grey mixes into a vibrant painting while using expressive brushstrokes.
Photo’s are provided, but you can apply the exercises to any other subject you like.
Suitable for beginners and improvers.
Materials I use are listed at the end of each project, but feel free to change colours and brushstrokes to make it your own!
